Bookings and payment
At the time of booking, which must be submitted via the dedicated form on the Appennino Slow website, fully completed and signed by the customer, a confirmation deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable except in the event that the trip is canceled by Appennino Slow.
The balance of the total participation fee must be paid within 3 days of confirmation of the trip by Appennino Slow.
If bookings are requested within 20 days prior to departure, the total trip price must be paid in a single solution. Failure to pay the amounts due by the established deadlines constitutes an express termination clause, allowing the organizer to terminate the contract by law.
For any and all requests to modify an already confirmed booking, a fee of €30 plus any fare differences will be charged per modification to cover operational costs.
Appennino Slow complies with the insurance obligations required by Legislative Decree 79/2011.
Consumer withdrawal
The consumer may withdraw from the contract without paying penalties in the following cases:
- a price increase exceeding 10%;
- a significant modification of one or more elements of the contract objectively considered essential for the enjoyment of the travel package as a whole, proposed by the organizer after the conclusion of the contract but before departure and not accepted by the consumer (excluding mandatory formalities required to comply with regulations in force at the time of travel).
In the above cases, the consumer is alternatively entitled to:
- take advantage of an alternative travel package, without a price supplement or with a refund of the price difference if the second package is of lower value;
- request a voucher of equal value to be used or transferred to third parties within 12 months;
- receive a refund of only the amount already paid.
If the consumer does not communicate their decision to accept the modification or withdraw within two working days from receipt of the notice, the proposal shall be deemed accepted.
If the consumer withdraws from the contract before departure outside the cases listed above, the following penalty percentages of the total package price will apply, calculated based on how many days before the start of the trip the cancellation occurs:
- withdrawal up to 31 days before departure: €50 per person for administrative costs;
- withdrawal from 30 to 21 days before departure: 30% of the total amount;
- withdrawal from 20 to 11 days before departure: 50% of the total amount;
- withdrawal from 10 to 4 days before departure: 75% of the total amount;
- withdrawal within 3 days before departure: 100%.
Consumer obligations
During negotiations and in any case before the conclusion of the contract, Italian citizens are provided in writing with general information—updated to the catalog printing date—regarding health requirements and necessary documentation. Foreign citizens must obtain the corresponding information through their diplomatic representations in Italy and their respective official information channels.
In any case, consumers must verify updates with the competent authorities before departure (for Italian citizens, local police headquarters or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via the website www.viaggiaresicuri.it) and comply accordingly prior to travel.
In the absence of such verification, no responsibility for failure to depart by one or more consumers may be attributed to the seller or the organizer.
Complaints
Any lack in the execution of the contract must be promptly reported by the consumer so that the organizer, its local representative, or the accompanying person can remedy the issue in a timely manner. The consumer may also file a complaint by sending a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the organizer or seller within 10 working days from the date of return to the place of departure.
Privacy policy pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 – GDPR
In compliance with EU Regulation No. 2016/679, personal data provided by the customer will be processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, and transparency.
Providing data is necessary for the execution of the contract and to comply with legal and tax obligations under applicable regulations and/or to exercise a right of the data controller provided by law. Failure to provide personal data for the purposes indicated in this notice will prevent execution of the contract and/or processing.

Excursions
Excursions and any ancillary services purchased directly on site and not included in the travel package price are outside the scope of the travel contract.
Hotels
The official hotel categories listed in the catalog are established by local authorities based on the criteria in force in each country. At times, these classifications may differ, even significantly, from the quality standards used in our country. Information regarding facilities and ancillary services is provided by the individual hotels and updated at the time of catalog printing. Any inaccuracies are due to independent decisions made by the hotels, for which tour operators disclaim all responsibility.
Accommodation
Accommodation is normally provided in double or triple rooms with separate beds. Rooms defined as “triple” are generally double rooms with an added bed/cot, which may be uncomfortable for three adults. Single rooms are available in limited numbers, subject to a supplement, and are smaller than double rooms.
In some cases, double rooms with a single bed (non-separable beds) may be assigned, as some accommodations only offer this solution. The organizer will try to avoid this situation where possible and, if unavoidable, will inform the customer at the time of booking.
Current regulations provide that rooms are available to guests after 3:00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure. Any room occupancy beyond these times is entirely at the customer’s expense. No refunds are provided for room occupancy beyond midnight caused by flight schedules already known to the customer or reasonably foreseeable at the time of booking.
Board basis
Unless otherwise stated: half board = overnight stay, breakfast, and dinner; full board = overnight stay, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Full board meals begin with dinner on the day of arrival and end with breakfast on the day of departure (flight schedules permitting). No refunds are provided for unused meals for any reason (flight times, delays, etc.) or for services not used due to early return decided by the customer.
Participation fees
Prices are expressed in EURO per person and refer to accommodation in double, triple, or multiple rooms where indicated.
Validity of prices
Prices may be changed up to 20 days prior to the departure date due to variations in: transport costs (including fuel costs), duties and taxes on certain services such as landing, embarkation/disembarkation, and security fees at ports and airports, as well as exchange rate fluctuations (where the exchange value or conversion date is indicated in the price table).
Trip duration
The calculation of the trip duration includes both the departure and return days, regardless of transport departure times.
Prices include
At the beginning of each section of the catalog, you will find the paragraph “price includes,” which lists the standard services included for all travel proposals in that section. Any variations are indicated in the description of individual hotels. Services and costs excluded from the package are listed under “price does not include.”
Reductions
No offers and/or reductions may be applied to the prices unless otherwise indicated by Appennino Slow.
Children – “Children” reductions/prices apply, unless otherwise stated, to children aged 2 to 11 inclusive, accommodated in a room with two full-paying adults, and are applicable only upon agreement with Appennino Slow. Fixed-price places are available in limited numbers and subject to reconfirmation at the time of booking.
Minimum number of participants
Trip departures are subject to reaching the minimum number of participants specified in the price tables. Failure to reach this minimum will be communicated at least 15 days before departure (or 7 days for trips lasting less than 4 days) and may result in trip cancellation and/or a revision of the sale price.
Seat availability
For all trips listed in the catalog, a limited number of places are available at the indicated fares.
Consumer protection
