Where the territory finds its voice
Our idea of a tourist office is a place where ideas and territorial marketing projects can be developed. Knowledge of places and tourism excellence is the foundation of our work, because to make a territory attractive you need to live it firsthand. Telling stories means learning something and passing it on to others, enriched by the personal perspective that comes from one’s own character. At Appennino Slow, we strive to tell the stories, traditions, beauty, and functionality of the Tuscan–Emilian Apennines, where we have been “wandering” for over 20 years in many different ways.
eXtraBO – The Green Landscape of Bologna
eXtraBO is the green showcase in the heart of Bologna, ready to introduce and tell you about the territory and the excellence beyond the city walls: parks, nature reserves, tours, and routes stretching from the Apennines to the plains, passing through the Imola area—three zones identified to represent the green offer of the Metropolitan City of Bologna.
In this office you’ll find informational materials, maps, and tourist proposals for every need: curious visitors and enthusiasts of trekking, cycle tourism, and wellness and food & wine will surely find the experience that suits them best.
The event space within the venue also hosts meetings, workshops, and mini-conferences for all ages, and between events it becomes a place to immerse yourself in and admire the landscapes of the Metropolitan City of Bologna—including a small “piece” of the Apennines—to share experiences and stories.
Come visit us: our staff will be happy to welcome you and guide you in finding the outdoor experience that’s right for you!

IAT- R Sasso Marconi
Opened in 2006, infoSASSO is the heart of the promotion of Sasso Marconi and of a wider territory. Identified as a “natural gateway” to the Apennines, the Sasso Marconi tourist office not only provides information about events and the many activities of the town where it is located, but also goes beyond administrative boundaries. In particular, it is the reference office for the Via degli Dei, for which—together with Appennino Slow and the Municipality of Sasso Marconi—we have been appointed as “main organizers and key contacts”.
Since 2024, the Sasso Marconi tourist office has become an IAT-R (IAT Reservation), the reference point for coordinating tourist offices in the Bologna Apennines area. It is also the headquarters of the Bologna Apennines Local Editorial Team, which manages the official tourism portal (appenninobolognese.cittametropolitana.bo.it) and relations with other territorial and destination editorial teams.
We are available to provide all kinds of assistance to travelers and promote the territory at 360°, with its events and initiatives, working closely with local stakeholders (Municipality, Associations, Shopkeepers, Producers…).

Tourist Information and Welcome Office Monghidoro – Idice and Savena Union
The Monghidoro IAT, located in the upper Bologna Apennines, serves as a reference point for the BOM – Bologna Montana area (a project involving the municipalities of Loiano, Monghidoro, Monterenzio, Monzuno, San Benedetto Val di Sambro, and Castiglione dei Pepoli), as well as for the municipalities of San Lazzaro di Savena and Ozzano dell’Emilia. From this office, we follow and coordinate events in the Upper Savena Valley area, especially during the summer period when this part of the Apennines is most attractive, developing trekking and hiking proposals in the surrounding area, so as not to leave places of relevance and interest to the jaws of time and oblivion.
We promote events both for the Municipality of Monghidoro and for the other administrations of the Union: Loiano, Monterenzio, Pianoro, and San Benedetto Val di Sambro.
