Since I was a young man, my passion has been discovering and exploring Nature in all its forms. I practiced mountaineering, caving, and canoeing before dedicating myself to exploration and walking, which I continued into adulthood as a “group leader,” taking “traveler-tourists” across Asia, Africa, and Europe to discover—by walking—cities, historic villages, forests, deserts, beaches, and more… I also dedicated myself as a volunteer in the fields of pacifism, environmentalism, and nonviolence, becoming active even in war zones (Bosnia).

I published a guide entitled “The Via del Reno,” which describes a trekking route of about one hundred kilometers that follows ancient paths and minor roads, starting from Bologna and reaching the source of the Reno River (near Pistoia). This itinerary is also offered by Appennino Slow!

Later, aware that as a volunteer I had limitations, I completed the Environmental Hiking Guide course, obtaining certification from the Emilia-Romagna Region, with a subsequent extension as a Tourist Guide, and I am currently registered with the Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides (AIGAE). Since becoming a G.A.E., I have guided groups of adults, adolescents, and also disadvantaged people (with psychological disabilities, accompanied by their educators). I am part of the “founding” group of the Compagnia Guide Valli Bolognesi (C.G.V.B.), and my personal “vision” of hiking also sees it as a tool that, beyond helping people discover and appreciate a territory, serves to promote and enhance those who live and work there—highlighting events, refreshment stops, festivals, shows, and more. In addition, I strive to give importance both to the relationship between People and Nature and to human relationships among participants, fostering greater well-being and helping to move away from the stressful situations that surround us daily. Recently, I have also been involved in activities with schools, both as a tutor and as a guide for educational trips.

I look forward to walking together…
